Ann Curry
Ann Curry, an American photojournalist and journalist who has reported on natural and war-related disasters for more than 45 years. She focuses on the suffering of those in these areas. Curry was a reporter in war zones like Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, born November 19th 1956 (Agana), is an American journalist, who was anchor of a newscast on TV. Curry was well-known for her work in reporting on natural catastrophes and war devastated countries. Curry's mom is Japanese and her father was another American Naval Sailor. Curry's parents met in Japan which is the country where her father was stationed after World War II. As a result of her father's active military service the family moved frequently. Curry went to high school in Ashland, Oregon. When she graduated from University of Oregon, Curry obtained a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1978. In her youth she had the privilege of being exposed to many kinds of cultures. Her empathetic attitude towards the world is likely a result of her experiences. Then, she graduated from Ashland High School. The broadcasting profession began with an internship at KTVL Channel 10 Medford in Oregon. at the age of 22, she eventually became the first journalist female at that station. Later, she became an anchor/reporter for KGW in Portland Oregon. Four years later, she relocated into Los Angeles and became a journalist at KCBS TV. During her KCBS-TV relationship of six years She was honored with 2 Emmy Awards.
